Most jewelers mark gold up 8 to 12 times. That is not because gold is expensive. Gold is a commodity, priced openly on global markets. It is because the business is built on mystery. We are not.
This piece weighs 69.82g of 10k gold. At today’s live gold price, the gold alone is worth $3,873.90. The rest, $7,355.10, is the craft: casting, finishing, testing, insured shipping, and our margin, said out loud. That is the whole math. Nothing hidden in a velvet box.
